      Time for a new compressor

I'm finally fed up with my older Craftsmen compressor. Its worked great for me for 20 years but now that I'm starting to do some bigger projects, its just not cutting it anymore. Its too small to supply the cfm I need for some of my tools and I'm constantly having to wait for it to catch up when the tools bogs down.

So I'm looking for a 60 gallon, 2 stage upright compressor. I want to buy a decent quality (not pro quality), so the Harbour Freight and Husky stuff is not on my list.

My budget is <$800 or so......

Any help fo a reliable supplier with good prices would be great.

Got one last fall. Best deal I could find anywhere (I research this stuff for weeks) was from Lowes. About $800 retail, then I used a 10% off coupon.

      The item# is 134749 and the model# is K7580V2

      Specs:

80 Gallon Kobalt (forget who really makes it)
      5HP
      2 Stage
      100% duty cycle
      15.2 scfm @ 175 PSI
      17.1 scfm @ 90 PSI

Make sure if you buy something that is made in China it is from a well known company so if/when it breaks you have some kind of warranty/gurantee. Personally, I stay away from anything made there but hey I am in the minority on that one.

None of the Lowes by me carried that 80g one.

I got a 2 stage 80g IR from Tractor Supply for $1000. So far it is the best tool I ever bought.

Try: www.castair.net I bought a true 5 hp 80gal. 18.1 CFM @ 100 psi compressor. Made in Minnesota. Very reasonable price and shipping rates.
