Rear Quarter Panels For 69 Firebird
I have a 69 Firebird with rot in the usual places including the roof panel so I was really happy to find a rear shell on Ebay where the guy had used the cowl which I don't need but it had a great roof with rust free quarters and a good tail light panel...well my bidding software turned out to be junk and I lost out on it for only 198.00..
so back to my original plan which was to collect NOS sheet metal for this..I found an NOS RH 1/4 already for 900. and bought it but I can't find a LH one much less the ultra-rare rear tail light panel for less than 1500. so now I'm wondering how the reproduction stuff for these cars is?...that seems like the way I'm gonna have to go now or spend years and thousands trying to chase this stuff down...any ideas for the best source? Classic Ind? Goodmark?..thanks for listening to me cry here...

Contact Tony at Muscle Car Metal (www.musclecarmetal.com). He is a goodmark dealer (but he also rebuild shells). He has my '69 FB at the moment:
He is also a Dynacorn and Classic Industries dealer. He can compare/contrast different options 4 you. I do know that he typically prefers Goodmark qtrs.

Dynacorn been saying that there going to reproduce the rear tail panel.. They been saying that for a while now, and thats the problem my brother is having with his bird....

Yep, the tail panel was one of 3 pieces that we re-used on my car:

I have the Ames Performance rear quarters on my car. The reproduction is spot on. Unless somebody got up underneath the car to look at the seams you'd never know the car had aftermarket metal in the rear.
I'm not sure on the tail panel though. I didn't have to replace mine fortuantely.Jason Mounce
