      FAST Questions

Can a FAST Bank to Bank Box be upgraded to Sequential? If so, does anybody know how much the upgrade costs? Is it a Firmware change or simply a Software change (unlocking something)?

I also would like to know how much to convert the box to use a Crank Trigger's Pickup with an EDist from a box configured for an LT1 Ignition.

Last question, is the LS1 specific EDist wiring setup to use the LS1 Cam Sensor's signal?

      Thanks,

      David

Near as I can tell the only difference between the LS1 edist and the standard one is that the LS1 box does not have coil drivers in it. It sents out a EST signal that the LS1 coils recogize. The other edist can drive any coil.

Regarding the eDIST, the only difference is that the LS1 specific version's harness is wired to use the EST signal and the LS1 firing order. The box itself is identical. You can get the universal part and wire it yourself for use with the LS1.

Yes you can upgrade a Bank to Bank system to Sequential. The cost is roughly $600.00. I have done this for Customers in the past. It does require sending the ECU to FAST.

      From the edist intructions

Coil outputs (see pinout chart for wire colors)
The coil outputs are only available on eDist part number 30-5000 and are not
available with eDist part number 30-5001. These outputs can fire a coil directly by
connecting them to the negative side of an ignition coil. The order in which these
outputs are wired varies with an engine’s firing order and cam sensor timing. This is
described in the “wiring the outputs” section of this manual.

305000 is the universal 305001 is the LS1
