      71 Chevelle convert

Here are a few pictures of my Chevelle. I have been working on it steady for one year now. These are not the wheels I will be running or intake. I have a Holley stealth ram set up.

Let me know what you think.

Its kind of a toss up between copper or black. The orgional color of the car is copper, I think it would look good a updated copper color. then there is black... it has always been a one of my favorites. what do you guys think.

Do the copper with a black top and black interior, that would look killer.

Looks awesome! Man, that car takes me back. Years ago, my parents neighbor had a '71 Chevelle 'vert (burgundy, with white top and interior) that was his daily driver. Any time it was over 50* and sunny out, he had the top down. I miss that guy (and car!).

Im sorry bro I dont have any of the fire wall install pictures. I suck I should have taking them through the whole build and i havent. I just started to tak them.

I know the fire wall kit comes with real good instructions, they said to feel free to give them a call if we ran into any trouble.

I think, its a real good product. All the fellas that have Camaros have the DSE kit. I am just glad that some one made one for the chevelle's.

From what I can tell, it seems worth every penny for the pre-cut/formed pieces then to do it yourself, without the proper tools, I will have my kit tom or the following day and I'll take pics along the way, maybe post something here or on chevelles.com about it

Very nice I think I might order one too. I just happened to come across this thread. Never heard of the kit before. Sorry for hijacking your thread Kustom_dude, but thanks much for the info and very nice project. It's always good to see others projects for ideas.

looks good, wish i could get my frame rolling like yours, one quesiton, with the rear suspension did you have to weld anything to the frame for the suspension to work? like the qa1s. keep up the good work.

Looks to me like the rear suspension frame wise is stock. The top of the shocks mount like that on a stock frame.

      What brand rear is that?

The rear suspension is stock. The shocks mount like regular shocks. they do make a kit you have to weld if you want to run coil overs.

The rear end is a Chris Alston Fab 9 and is running all strange stuff, axles and 3rd member with 373 gears.
