      Nova Project

Hello all, I am new to the site and am in the infant stages of a pro-touring style build on a 72 Nova. For the time being it will have a 500hp NA 355 in it with a Tremec 5spd. Eventually I want to do a LS2 setup but this will do for now. I already have the engine and trans ready to go. The car was originally an auto so I have to find the easiest/best way to swap it over. I plan mini tubbing it with 20x10's out back wrapped in 295/40r20 rubber and 18x8's up front wrapped in a 245/45r18. Eventually it will probably get bagged but for right now I am going to have the leaves de-arched and move the shackles. Up front it will get drop spindles and springs. Wish me luck.

Sounds like a nice project. Always good to have another 3rd-gen Nova on the forum. The easist way to convert from an auto to manual is just to purchase the factory z-bar set up and pedal assembly. You can pick these items up from Chevy2Only, J&W Nova and a handful of other vendors. POST PICS!!
