Help me choose a 427 small block
I am working on our new Classic Chevy 5-Speed 67 Camaro. It will be our first gen Camaro prototype car for testing new Tremec related transmision products so we can develope newer and better conversion kits. I will be buying a new motor for it and need some input selecting the best choice. Here are my requirements:
- Needs to be a carburated 427 small block (personal preference).
- I am looking for a turnkey set up (carb to pan).
- Reliability is important.
- I needs to be streetable on pump gas.
- Will not be racing it - just a strong street car.
- Price is not the driving factor but I do not not want to go overboard.
Thanks in advance for your input and suggestions.

I would check out Bill Mitchell. They sell a carbed. 427 small blocks that are complete and comes with a 2 year warranty, pump gas friendly and 400 to 600 h.p. www.worldcastings.com. You could also check out www.ultrastreet.net. I hope this helps..
