      1970 Challenger what width 17s?

Did a couple searches, but not much info. and it was a little old, so I'm hoping there is new data out there.

Stock suspension and body, what is the max front and rear tires, rim width, and what is the optimum backspacing?

      Pics would also be good.

      Thanks.

Im running 17 x 8 on the front with 245/45/17 and 17 x 9 on the rear with 275/40/17. Backspacing is straight up at 4.5 on the front and 5" on the rear. No rubbing issues at all.

Send me a PM with your e-mail address. I did a layout of a 17 x 10 with 5.25 backspacing and it looked like it would fit with a 285 or 295 tire.

      Cheers!

generally on a mopar you want around 0 offset... so backspacing should be made accordingly

Thanks ive read that one a few times already.
I guess the customer will have to settle for a smaller tire.

295 will fit with no issue. 315 if you nail the backspace perfect.
