Can those that have been there done that comment on this.

I know the max front tire width subject has been beaten to death time and time again but I am looking for help with a different twist to this question.

Specifically, I am referring to the 80's G-bodied cars (Monte Carlo, Cutlass, Regal, GN, etc..).

If you're running aftermarket brakes, sway bar, upper and lower control arms, spindles, and 18" rims what becomes the limiting factor of wheel/tire width? Is it the frame, which I suspect, or is it something else that the tires contacts?

If it is as I suspect and does in fact run into clearance issues with the frame (hitting when attempting a turn) are there any companies out there making a front clip for the 80's G-bodies that alleviate this issue? I see everything for the early camaro's, etc... but have not found any front clip's for the 80's g-bodies to address the issue of tire width clearance.

I do realize that this is a very limited market and therefore most likely means there won't be any product base for this but I figured it was at least worth a try. To most this would not matter but there is always that ten percent like me that just have to make this hard. TIA
