SEMA, on site registration.
It looks like I am going to get to attend SEMA, but I will be forced to register onsite. Just looking for a heads up; is this going to be an all out pain in the "rear", or is it relatively quick and painless?

10-25-2006 #2That depends on you! Read the SEMA website requirements for registration and bring ALL the information required and you will not have any problems.
Given all the "talk" by SEMA this year about the public attending this "trade only" show, I am sure that management will not be near as lenient about onsite registration issues as they have in the past.
As far as being a paint in butt, at this late moment onsite registration is your only option so grab something to read in line while you wait AND bring the proper required paperwork.

They completely screwed up my on line registration, so I'll be waiting in line with you. Mike's right, bring the documentation that legitimizes your association with the automotive profession, and you'll get in. There is no doubt that the rules have been tightened this year, and if the on site is anything like the on-line fiasco that I was forced to go through (and I am previous exhibitor, and a current SEMA member, as well as being pissed), it could be ugly.
Wear comfy shoes. And go the bathroom before you get in line, you might be there a while.
