      Tahoe seats

I just aquired a 97 tahoe that has some pretty nasty seats in it. I was looking to redo the front and rear seats but cannot seam to find a company that makes new factory fitting covers. Does anybody have any suggestions or ideas??

      Phil,

I was able to replace the upholstry on the driver's seat base on my 99 Tahoe from someone on Ebay. Price was about half of what the dealership was charging for the cover.

I have a 97 yukon and mine where crappy too. I checked around and ended up having them done for the cost of material at wyotech when I was a student. If you go to ckresto.com, they have stock leather upholstery in stock color or w/ suede inserts. Hope this helps. its a great source for hard to find parts. www.ckresto.com

      Dave,

You wouldnt happen to have a direct link to the seller or the sellers name would you? My wifes 96 Z71 is mint other than the leather seats up front are getting worn. Id like to have them redone to look stock and the local upolstry shop wants $1k per seat (OUCH!).

      TIA,
      Dave

holy cow $1g per seat, thats crazy I have the catalog infront of me right now. http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...SEATING&page=1. go to page 2 or 3 for the leather and vinyl. I've ordered alot of parts from them before for my yukon. Great company. I suggest ordering a catalog b/c there free and they have tons of misc. stuff thats hard to find elseware. Seats are gonna run you 500-$1000 depending on seats and material. Let me know if I can help anymore. Goodluck

      Dave,

I only needed the seat base cover at the time. I can't find the original Ebay member but here's a link to a similar auction:

      Good luck,

      Dave & Gordz32,

Thanks for the links/info guys. I'll check on both the auction and the late model catalog deal since I have more than one mid 90s GM truck and Im sure I'll need more stuff later on.

I was a little suprised by the $1k per seat price that I was quoted but then again maybe the guy didnt want to fool with it and was hoping to price himself out of the job (he did just that too). I could swallow ~$500 per seat but for $1k I'll slog through the salvage yards for a wrecked truck with good shape cloth interior and swap it out first.

      Anyways thanks again ,

      Dave

Try www.Katzkin.com. They are out of California and make lots of stock leather seat covers for all sorts of vehicles.
