They are very rare due to various laws which prevent you from importing second hand cars into Chile. Only in very specific situations can you bring a car from abroad. There are some Camaro's around but they are not in great condition and I am a bit hesitant to hire someone to do the restoration in Chile as the expertise and experience with these cars is not great. Also, I don't have the time or the know-how to do it myself. That is why I am looking for ways to bring a car over from the US...

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?

You might wanna look into one of the "new" reproduction camaros people are building now. They have a new vin number and everything.

Welcome Wynbrown. I've got a good friend that lives in Santiago, and there are a lot of car guys there.

American muscle cars are scattered around, but the political climate has made things tough.

I live in Santiago too and I know of a few Camaro's around. As a matter of fact I saw one yesterday that had been modified and upgraded about 15 years ago and is a real monster. It is too much for me and would also need quite a bit of work on the interior to get it up to scratch. I'm not looking for something to race in although I would like it to respond when I want it to. A reliable muscle car with a few comforts...
