      1/4 LS1/4L60 Performance

I must say, I have no more doubts after tonight. Took the converted '73 out tonight to the track and clicked off a [email protected] cutting a 2.2 60 ft using a STOCK LS1 with a STOCK 4L60E with 3.08 gears. Just has full exhaust and a custom intake tube setup for it, and the car has not been tuned for the additional airflow. It hits the rev limiter slightly on the 1-2 shift. Car weighed in at 3620 with 3/4 tank of fuel with me in it. Power windows, 8 way power seat, tons of sound deadening, air conditioning, sway bars, heavy 17" TT2's etc etc. Car was raced as is driven everyday, didn't even air the tires down. Got a ton of positive comments and questions on it tonight, was a real showstopper in the staging lanes. This car has EASY 12's in it with some traction. Pretty stoked.

I ran the numbers on a HP calculator.

      318hp based on the time

358 hp based on the MPH

I guess that seems about right.

The engine bay is ugly. LoL. Not only is the LS1 itself one of the ugliest motors ever built (IMHO...) I still have a lot of finishing work to do. Ill take some pics anyway, but please excuse my mess. I did the swap on the cheap, needed it done and used every bit of the 4th gen donor car I could. Didn't even detail the engine bay out when the swap was underway due to time/money constraints.

Formula - feel free to ask away about anything your curious about.

That is great mph a stock LS1 A4 exhaust car. Just think it is pretty easy to add 40hp putting you close to 110mph.

Is that a 4th gen radiator?

Sounds like the perfect candidate for an aftermarket trans controller with manumatic capability. In manual mode you will have more control over wheelspin and rpm.

Interesting, explain? As far as the radiator, yes its a 4th gen radiator. I used anything and everything I could off the 4th gen car.
