      Mixed color dash ???

I'm getting ready to paint the dash on my 67 'Bird. My original plans were to paint the upper/lower dash, jams, and firewall body color. The only thing I wasn't planning on painting was my center panel where the radiowas installed. Instead I have a black 4 gauge carbon fiber panel from Covan. I was going to keep my original dash carrier to install my 5" speedo and tach in. It was also to be painted body color.

But now I will be using a Covan piece for the speedo/tach also. This will allow me to install my indicator lights/leds in better location to be sceen. What I'm curious about is has anyone peinted their dash different colors. I'm wondering how it would look if I left the two panels black and the rest of the dash blue. I can see the center panel being black and looking ok. Just not sure how it would look with two pieces black. Especially since one is offset to one side. Here is the color I plan to paint my car.

      Any thoughts ???

I painted my dash the body color on top and interior color on bottom. I have the Covan's carbon fiber insert as well. Here are a couple of pics.
