      Th 700

I am a man from Denmark and I am going to bay a TH 700 transmission for my pro-touring Camaro. I have found a firm on ebay called transmission4X4 who sell a 650 hp TH 700 for 725 $. any one know if it is OK.

I just bought my 700 R-4 transmission from Coan. Was $1,800 or so, + $170 shipping. I can't see a transmission costing you $700 built for horsepower.

There is no way a 700r4 will handle 650hp and only cost that little. Even with the best parts they are very limited.

Yeah, I'm planning on small block Chevy 400-450hp, + 150hp Nitrous and have some concerns. I figure the coan built trans should hold up being that I will likely never be hammering it from a dead stop. Was thinking about a nitrous system that gradually comes on as RPMs increase.

Any transmission that will hold that kind of power is more than likely gonna cost close to $2k. Hell, my TH200-4R is supposed to handle at least 450, and it cost me over $1k. It's worth putting the money out for the known transmission.
