      Disappointment with Autometer

I have been waiting to get the rest of the Nexus gauges to finish the set that they offer since last year at SEMA. The fact that I was going to have to return the 4200 contol unit and get a 4201 to handle 12 guages instead of 8 was an issue that had been resolved but the new news is that I still can't get the Speedo or tach yet along with some other guages that aren't out yet.

If any of you who are going to SEMA can get more info out of them it would be great and if you can pin them down and crucify them for putting the cart before the horse would be alright by me. The only set of gauges that exist must be the SEMA display.

So if any of you are hoping to put Nexus guages in thier project you might as well keep waiting. They don't even have a better answer than maybe next November not this November and it was last November they said they would be out in the spring.

We have had the same problem. Project Prodigy was one of the Nexus display cars at last year SEMA, and went to the show, and still has, some custom smoked lens Cobalts in it, like fuel, Tach, Speedo. We are supposed to get the other gauges as soon as they are out, but nothing yet. We also have had a set on order for Speedster for his Firebird, which will become a issue in a couple mnths when the car is done except gauges. For what it is worth, I know for fact Autometer is not thrilled with being so behind either.

I had another defective new boost gauge from them the other day, didn't work right out of the box. We always use SW Max Perf or Nordskog now unless customer insists on AM.

Well it seems that they are saying the Nexus gauges will be ready at the end of Nov. and Frank will have had a chance to talk to them by then at SEMA to verify that,so you guys waiting or thinking about getting some might be in luck but don't hold your breath

I have decide to bail on them and am going to go with the G2X Racepac setup. It is not that much more money and you get things that you will never get with the Autometer stuff .

Speedometer cable ,what speedometer cable ,gps is going to be soooo cool that I can hardly wait

      Goodluck to those who wait
