      another dutchman on board..

Hi, this forum was pointed out to me by a friend of mine, you already know him as "Mobster", so if anything goes wrong, its his fault.. ..

my name is Ben, i come from the Netherlands, and i'm in the process of (re)building my car, a 1972 Mustang Grande. it is going to be in the "pro-touring" style, which i really like..

it was bone-stock when i bought it, almost 7 years ago. as time went by, things got renewed, brakes, suspension, engine (302 at the time) tranny-rebuild,mostly in the winters and the summers i could drive it.

2 years ago i decided it had to be more "different" then the others, so i decided to go PT..

lots of things have been changed, there's a 351C Boss ,with a 4spd toploader in it,9"rear 3.89 geared, 17"wheels ,disks all around,Cobra racing seats, autometer gauges, tweeked suspension, boxed lower front arms, Poly bushings all around, 4-link triangulated rear suspension with coil-overs, subframeconnectors and so on..

currently i'm busy with the electrics on it.. everything is hidden , so there no cable's visible in the enginebay.., lots of things to do still, but it's getting there..., the good thing is, it is gonna be finished some day next year, the bad thing is, i already have other "engine"plans,.. when its finished, the next project is a 4.6 modular engine , its gonna be rebuilded and turbocharged , after that being put in the Mustang.. so the 351 is gone then,, but that engine is for the next project, that's a 1978 Mustang II, that will be pro-streeted.....

well of what i have seen so far i will have a good time around here, and lots of info!!

      cheers Ben
