'cuda and Prodigy Both Blow Up

Maybe it's a coincidence or maybe this is the formula for two blown rears:

      Drag Strip
      Low Profile Tires
      IRS
      Big Torque

Track was slick but had a grippy launching pad.

Of course I ran it. Didn't run a 12 though. 8.72@79 was the fastest run. Multiplied by 1.56 equals 13.60. Which is about what I ran at E-Town with the throttle set well below WOT. In Pigeon Forge on Friday, Frank, Michael, Jake and Mikey all saw the improperly set throttle. We fixed it, but it didn't do us any good since I never stayed in the throttle.

Track had a sticky starting line with lots of rubber down (no scraping) and the rest of the track was slick. So my car would hop off the line and the skate down the rest of the 1/8th. I'm not real fond of wheelspin at mid track. First run was a 13-something in the eighth with the car completely sideways. I mean I was staring at the left side wall. That was thru the fog. 8.72 was at 2PM.

      So....

      E-Town:
13.65@106 in the quarter with a little wheelspin, but not WOT
      411:
8.72@79 with wheelhop followed by no traction.

One of these days, I'll get it right. I'll settle for a 12.99 with a 9 on my daily driver tires. My guess is that that won't happen until I swap the rear suspension for a multi-link. In the meantime, I will check the pinion angle on my new 9" Ford. Never had wheelhop before the swap.

Prodigy broke a couple spider gears.
Cuda broke everything from the Output shaft-back.

Damn Bob was on the throttle/rev limiter on both runs, that car's exhaust is just too much. I cannot get enough of that sound. It is still louder than that when he passes you on the highway though, too damn loud......lol
