      another 69Camaro/LS1 conversion

      hey guys,
i came to this site looking for suspension advice but it looks like theres much much more here!
i am currently building a huggar orange 69 camaro. engine is a LS1/4l60e, out of a 98 camaro. also swaping the 98's rack for the 69's gearbox. as well as 02 firehawk brakes all around instead of the super-stoping power of the factory 69 drum brakes.
i am an aircraft mechanic by trade, and i do a lot of sheet metal fab/sculpture work on the side.
this car is being built to driven, and i mean driven like a rental. (not that i will treat it like some of the rentals i have had in the past;no off roading in this car )

Not bad for a Camaro w/no vent windows.

"JEFFTATE,There is nothing wrong with a Hugger Orange 69 Camaro !"
thanks jeff for my new daily affirmation, i'll say " There is nothing wrong with a Hugger Orange 69 Camaro !" to myself over and over in order to get over the fact that i got stuck with an orange one.

"BonzoHansen Not bad for a Camaro w/no vent windows."
and bonzo i love the wheel/tire package you have carefully selected for your 67.

But seriously guys, I appreciate all of the welcomes and light bantering!
Glad to be on this forum, and I hope to share as much or more, than the advice and guidance that I receive.

Just a note...in this day, nobody is stuck with a '69 Camaro. I like your decisions for drivetrain and I've recently seen an installation of a fourth gen rack and pinion that looked great. You'll have an excellent car when you're done. Keep posting pictures.

      and Jeff...you do orange proud!
