First post - Cocoa Beach FL

Anyone else from the central florida area? I'm from Cocoa Beach.

I haven't settled on what my next car will be, but since I build independent rear suspensions, it will have one installed... and will bea show vehicle for the purpose of marketing my product.

Past vehicles range from '74 E type Jag with a V8 to a Ferrari 355 replica built on a Fiero...

I also offer free 2D cad services... I do plenty of drawings and utilize a couple of local shops with plasma and water-jet machines... If you need anything - let me know.

      Welcome to the site Dave.

Frank (Prodigy Customs) is over in Orlando. His son Michael built a car "Prodigy" that utilizes an IRS.

Looks like you have a solid IRS design, now just put together a nice muscle car or PT machine to showcase it.

I am right down the road from you in Melbourne so yell if I can help you with anything.

I'm currently bogged down with building a mid- engine replica of a Porsche 911 GT1 for myself. It has a Dodge Intrepid ( FWD ) engine / trans - but mounted in the back similar to European exotics... but I haven't had much time to spend on it while building mid engine subframes and rear suspensions for others.

I'm looking for someone to partner with who is building an S10 and another who is building a Fox body Mustang. If anybody knows of such a opportunity locally, let me know...

I have an IRS design for each that I'd like to install and perfect before selling it to the broader market.

no IRS for a camaro yet... I have been asked by quite a few folks for that one, but nobody has been willing to commit to a co-development effort yet.

My offer is to provide a $1000 rebate to anyone who puts my IRS into a camaro / firebird and assists me in creating a solution for others as a standard product.

I spent a couple of hours this morning mocking up a prototype IRS assembly and just got done posting some photos on my site... This was in response to folks asking what the deal is with my lightweight model.

      http://team321.com/321HotRodIRS/Lightweightproto.html

I created the lightweight model approach after customers asked how they could determine if my IRS would fit their needs - without having to try to position a heavy, steel IRS assembly under their chassis.

Anyway, let me know what you think of the write-up... It's a quick read.

What you have a design for a IRS for a S-10? I'm in St. Augustine but I am building a S-10.

a design specifically for an S10 ? No

an IRS design that can be adapted to an S10 - Yes...

I'm pretty sure the bed will have to be modified - which is usually not an issue for small truck owners... and the last remaining issue is attaching the frame rails to the IRS center section and attaching the frame rails to the existing, factory S10 frame rails.

I do not currently have an S10 - but I have all the other goodies to make this happen. If you have an S10, fab skills, shop space, etc... I can bring my IRS up to you and we can collaborate on a solution.

SlamFest is Oct 7/8 in Tampa... while most of that crowd is interested in scraping the ground vs. suspension performance - I hope to meet some S10 owners interested in working with me.

I can give you a $1000 rebate on my IRS after the install is complete and the end solution is something I can sell as a "fab-in" package for future S10 owners.

call / email and we can discuss.

Thats really cool. But I think this stuff is a little out of range for my project. I'm keeping this build cheap. I'm sure you will find someone at slamfest that will be interested.
