      Full Ride Chevelle Update

      Hi everybody,

I wanted to give the latest update on progress of my Chevelle. The most exciting news is that we secured the engine. We're getting a brand new LS7 engine. I am so excited! 505 HP!!! We're also putting in a Viper-guts T-56 6-speed, as well as a Hotchkis TVS suspension upgrade.

Apparently, the body was in worse shape than I thought. The roof was not salvageable, so they had to get a donor car and graft on a new roof.

SEMA seems like a million years away, I can't wait!!!

Take care and thanks again to all who voted for me.

I know, I know. optima really wants to keep the element of surprise, so I have very few pictures. I'll try to post what I can before the weekend. The roof was way ugly, though.

I can't say about the color scheme, but the wheels will be 18" Bonspeed Delta's.

Pictures are actually a few weeks old. The bodywork is 95% complete, engine and tranny go in this coming week. I just talked to optima yesterday and they feel comfortable that the car will be ready in time.
