      Photo shop pros need help.

Im not using photoshop but my cammedia does everything in need from a program. But I cant get my mouse to track a straight enough line (shakey) to do intricate work. What sort of mouse are you using for your realy nice work??

      hey..

dont use the mouse and eraser.. use the polygon lasso tool..its TONS easier.

its the one with a triangular lasso not the rounded one.

      like this..

then when you go around the car completely you can do one of two things..

      1. go to SELECT and INVERSE and then press DELETE on your keyboard.

      OR

      2. you can go ALMOST around the whole car but when you get close to your original point.. pull it off to the outside of the picture and go around the whole thing. to the other side.. which is more involved.

but thats how you cut it out clean!..

alright class brings your notebooks to class next week!

The lasso tool he's talking about only selects between points clicked with the mouse, connecting the dots, so to speak. The one you're using probably follows the mouse no matter where you move it.
I don't know anything about cammedia so i don't know if they even have the tool that you need. If not, I suggest zooming in and going in sections to clear out what you don't need.

Even the budget version of Photoshop, called Elements, has the polygonal lasso. I got my copy of Elements, which is my primary 'chop program, with the $30 Cannon scanner I bought a couple years ago.

Still, do some digging around in your photo editing program and look for something similar. Most do...
