      Piston Knockback ?'s

Hi, I have a couple ?'s Is knockback enough of a problem with a C-clip rear that I should use a 8.5 with bolt in axles? I have a C-clip rear but also have a bolt in axle 8.5 I can get if it would be that much better.
If I used the C-clip rear, where can I get the hardend shims to take up the axle play? Thanks for your time!

If you have positraction, the end play with a C clip diff is pretty low. You probably don't want over .030' end play though. Open diffs have a ton of end play. You can shim behind the C clips. I have heard valve spring shims are pretty close to the right size.

Thank you very much. I'll check out the valve spring shims.
