      Filter for a TH 400...

      I was trying to fix a few leaks on my trans. today. When I dropped my pan the filter is just loose. The frt. is on the tube like it is suppose to be but the bolt is tight and the filter is just floating. Is it suppose to be tight up againt the valve body or just hanging there?

      Every one I've seen is loose. There is usually a shoulder bolt that holds them. As long as the pickup tube is sealed all is good. FRANK
