      Fire Fire Fire

long story short my wife's blazer went up in flames today. UNfortunately i put the fire when i should have let this P.O.S. burn to the ground. anyway. got lucky (snicker snicker) and there was no major damage. except for the fuel injector spider. all of the nylon fuel tubing that runs from the injectors to the poppet valves melted. does anyone know where i can get this stuff? its 3/16 O.D black nylon. i went to the local parts stores but all i got was blank stares and "I Guess youll have to spend 300 dollars on a new spider assembly.

Tough guys may wear pink, but Bad Asses still wear black.

My first car was a 1980 Blazer. It caught on fire after the crappy rebuilt Holley I bought from Summit shot fuel out of the top of the bowl due to metal shavings inside everything - needle/seats, etc. Like the dumba$$ 16 year-old I was, I ran to the garden hose to put it out. Then, I tried to restart the truck, shooting water out of the exhaust and cracking both heads and bending 2 rods. Smart! 2 years of washing dishes to buy the truck, and 1 more year slopping texmex to pay for the engine rebuild. But I learned 2 priceless lessons:

      1. How to tear down and rebuild a motor
      2. I never buy ANYTHING from Summit. Still.

Good luck, I would hit the junk yards.

Fairly common problem with those damned spider injection setups, I've seen problems with several of them at my work. Expensive little things too, but I'd highly recommend you avoid a junkyard unit...you could have another fire very quickly.

Do the fuel log while you are in there.

I realize this is an older thread but the tubing you are looking for is available from Eastwood. If they have it I am sure it is available elsewhere for less.
