      subframe swap?

      can the subframe from a 2000 camaro be adapted to a 1972 camaro,suspention and all?

      With a welder, file, and a hammer, anything can happen!

      Seriously, I'd say you'd be better off buying a IFS kit and adapting it. But I don't know what your intentions and goals are...

      I agree, also the second gen is ok as is...or close at least. Its the base for late model sportsman race cars and they are slightly modified. We built a few solo I cars with a stock frame and it worked.
      Adding a late model frame might make handeling worst cause it is designed for a specific body, geometry and weight.

      The subframe itself couldn't be adapted, but the whole unibody from the firewall forward could, strut towers and all. You would have to be very motivated, or write checks with lots of "0" s
