      Dave & Mary,

How was Monterey Historics? I had to go to Oregon for my Mother's 65th birthday and was forced to miss it.

I haven't downloaded mine yet but all I took photos of was a McLaren M6GT coupe I was crewing on. Mary didn't go, so no pics from her. The Monterey Historics site should have some pics in a few days.

Did you get a chance to look under the hood of the #13 2nd Gen Camaro?

There are some interesting air management tricks in use there that would be easilly applicable to Mary's car.

The VTA website has TONS of great photos already posted. Wow, that was fast!

No, the hood was closed when I saw it.
      What was done to it?

A very unique ram air setup sourced from the grille opening vice the cowl.

The radiator is set back from the core support with a duct feeding it, there is a port in the top of the duct that feeds a plenum attached to the underside of the hood. The plenum then seals to a modified cowl induction air cleaner housing.

That car was among the three originally built by Chaparal (sp?). I'm sure it's full of nifty tricks, but that is the one that popped out to me when I saw it last year.

      That sounds familliar...
A good idea, second gen Camaros have very low hoods.

Here is Alan De Cadinet who did a segment on the McLaren M6GT.
      Nice guy!
