      99 C5 fuel filter/regulator

Hi guys, ok im running into a problem with the set up in title. If I set up the lines as described in picture I get no fuel flow. But if I reverse the lines I get flow but it is at max pressure from the pump.

In this case its 56 psi. I dead headed the pump and it ran at a consistant 55psi. Now, I know the stock spec for 1999 C5 is 55-61 and fbody it is 55-60 psi.

My spidey senses say that the pump isn't putting out enough to operate the regulator but my instinct says the pump is fine and my problem lyes in the filter regulator cause it should pass some fuel regardless of fuel pressure. I will have a new regulator tomorrow but I wanted more input. Thanks.

That is a weird problem indeed. The pic does show hooking it up correctly.

Thanks Matt, I will have to see what a new regulator does. I was very tempted to swap it out with a C5 in the shop...just to see if this regulator runs the Vette.

Any one have stories of this regulator not working??

Ok update for those that are curious...we swapped out the regulator and it still will not pass fuel. It is now determined that the problem lies in the pump area. Dropping the tank sunday. {:Allen please move to FI or LS1(OR where ever you see fit) section. delete this part please} Thx....jackaxe

its tough when you have 18 guys saying the sky is green and one guy telling you its blue. you just won't know till you look for yourself. I guess its true, you can't always believe what you see on the internet.
