      Axle Wrap

I am working with a 1969 Camaro and the car looks like it is hopping or surging on the dyno under full throttle. The pulls sounds normal but you can see the car bouncing. I have Global West leaf springs on the rear. Could this we axle wrap? Can this happen in higher gears or just in 1st gear while launching?

The car is currenly making 540 at the rear wheel. I am considering some kind of traction bar Competition Engineering slide-a-link.

      What shocks?

My car does it in the burn out box, I have qa1's and have to play with the settings to stop it.

Im not making at the crank what you're making at the wheels.

The car has not been to the track yet, just the dyno. The car can produce more power, if I raise the boost, but I want to resolve this problem first. I have QA1 shocks also.

I have been reading up and the Cal Trac. I did a search on Pro-touring and most seem to prefer the Comptition Engineering over the Cal Trac. Any thoughts?

I can tell you that I have been very happy with my Caltracs. I got the low profile versions that have the lower bracket removed for more ground clearance. I have not used the Competition engineering bars, so I really cannot comment on those.

      Andy,

Do you have a part number for your bars?
