      trunk so far

Here's what I have so far on the trunk - man, this has taken me a long time, although I haven't been able to work on it too much lately...

Looks good, but for some reason I don't like the sides. I'd just like to see it all flush with the opening. I think that would look a little more finished.

Yeah, decided to cover up the batteries since trying to build around them seemed like a huge pain and I'm not exactly an experienced woodworker. I think when everything is covered in black then it will look better.

I will have the upholstery shop do it when I take the car in for the interior - not sure what we will use yet.

Looks good to me. Hell of a lot more than I've got, that's for sure.

it's gonna be sweet when you get the padded covering on that stuff.

....and I think you're gonna want some light in there.

I used 1/2" MDF for most of it, except for the sub box where I used 3/4" MDF (two pieces for the front where the sub is mounted).

It is a Goodridge cap from a motorcycle. The rear panel was customized to fit the cap.
