      Corvette LT 1 engine leaking

      Hello!

A few years ago I installed a Corvette LT 1 engine.

I think because of the narrow engine bay of the Corvette there's an adapter at the oil filter, which move the filter closer to the engine.

I want to have a look to this adapter and since yet it's leaking. I tried several times to fix but without any success.

Because at the Camaro there's enough space i want to eliminate this adapter=>

Is there a "normal" adapter to the block => oil filter or better a direct connection flange possibility to the hoses from my separate oil filter unit.

Yes, you should be able to unbolt the one that's on there and you can easily add an Fbody one. I believe the one off the Fbody is the same as any normal SBC oil filter adapter. You can put an AC Delco PF454 filter on the engine which is what the Fbodies use.

The vette had their catalytic converters right in that area from the factory hince the reason for the adapter that moves the oil filter closer to the engine.
