Another Wheel Stud Question

I picked up some new rims last night that require tuner lug nut and am having a heck of a time finding new studs. I am working on the front hubs on a '71 Camaro which currently has 7/16 x 20 with .560ish knurl. I want to switch to 12mm x 1.5, but would go with 1/2 x 20 if necessary.

I have hit several parts stores and dealt with attitudes ranging from disinterest to hostility; I think customer service is dead! I have found some possibilities, but the stud prices were a tad outragious. Looking through ARPs catalog has turned up a few others, all requiring some amount of hole widening.

Before I started recreating the wheel (or wheel stud in this case) I thought I would through this out there to see what others have gone with when putting in larger studs. Thanks.
