      Interesting idea for '67-'68 Camaros....

Saw this over at Lateral-G. Apparantly it's Danica Patrick's '67 Camaro. It has a '69 lower valance on it and what looks to be like a billet grille that is painted black. This is the first I'm seeing this idea on a '67-'68 Camaro. I think it looks sweet. I'm wondering however if you have to modify it to fit or if it just bolts up and aligns with the grille naturally. Anyone got any ideas?

The signal lights are too close together to be a factory 69 piece. Maybe someone just closed up a stock 67 piece and put lights in it. A lot of air is taken away from the radiator, but it is probably no worse than a stock 69.

      Looks like a bitchin' car.

Done it to mine. Just cut out 69 lights and welded into 68 valance

Didn't they do that on Overhaulin?

Overhaulin put 69 parking lights in a 71 front.

I saw that car at Ground Up's car show in CT last month. Funkmaster Flex did that car.

The guy at BozeWheels posted that pic and stated it was a '69 front valance bolted up to a '67. He didn't mention anything about welding in the '69 holes on a '67 panel.

I think it maybe looked that way because of the angle of the photo. For some reason I always think the 69 signal lights are farther apart than they really are.

It would be cool to do that and put some driving lights in there instead.

That picture has been my wallpaper since it was posted. I have had an idea like that floating around in my head, just couldn't come up with the right look, and that look is on this car.

I too was worried about airflow, but if it was okay for the '69, then why not on a '67 or 68?

Its a 67 front valance with the 69 lights. The 69 front valance is a totally different shape against the grill.

I agree that it is NOT a 69 valance. It is heavily modified whatever it is to remove the holes for the Bumper brakets etc as well. And yes, the signals are too close together for stock.

Yup very modified piece. A 69 piece also has a flat spot in the middle where the license plate would go.

      You be the judge:

Boze Wheels sent me some pics and I've not posted them yet. I love the wheels and love what they did with the lights. If I can clear my intercooler I may have to do that and order some Marquez lights to go there.

I commented on the valence in the other thread. I think it looks great.
