      Mopar 727 sb vs bb

      Hey guys,

I have been reading about the 5.7hemi swap and figuring out what parts I have to start collecting. One item I was hoping to keep is my 727 BB transmission. I read somewhere that the 5.7 bolts up to a 727 SB tranny, what is the difference between them? Is there an adapter plate I can swap out to get that bolt pattern or something like that?

      Thanks, Matt

IIRC the case is the only difference. You could get a SB tranny case and swap in the guts of your existing transmission. An adapter could probably be made, but just using the SB case would be easier and/or cheaper in the long run I think.
