That's it!! I got the car basically as is except it had a t400 trany. The tires were dry rotted and there was grass clippings under the air cleaner on the manifold and spider webs everywhere. The fan, hood hinges, power steering pump and many other things were painted yellow and red. I bought it from George's friend (apparently George died of cancer and his friends wanted it to stay close).
It's shake and bake!!! and i helped!

I wish I knew Trapin! I had ripped these out of the magazine long long long ago and saved them because this 68 had the coolest stance and fat tires that I had seen at that time. Mind you, I was only in my late teens.
The darn pages only say "Camaro" at the bottem, no date or month or year. Obviously a special edition from one of the big four. PHR, HR, CC, SC. Probably CC or HR since I have a bunch from that time period.

I could safely say it is around 1982 - 1984 but that is all. :(
There is an ad for a Hurst "Contemporary Competition/Plus" shifter on the back page with a picture of an 82-84 Camaro.

Oh, I also see an ad for HotRod with a pic of a body-less funny car on the front, facing right at you, pipes a roarin! Entitled "260MPH Funny Cars" 'Now on sale at your local newstands'.
