      Millermatic 175 Mig Welder and AM 10 Gun (230 V. 19.5 A).

Purchased in March, 2003. Hardly used. Original price $940 (from Praxair). This is a COMPLETE unit with argon gas cylinder, pressure valve, two contact tips, factory-made roller cart, lots of spare welding wire, anti-spatter spray, all documentation and papers. Well over $1,100 (with accessories). Will sell only as a complete outfit.. $700 (firm). Cash only. (NO cashier’s checks, bank drafts, etc. NO remote or long-distance buyers.)

I'd buy new if it was me. Actually, I did buy a new one about 1 year ago. Bought the same miller your looking at, off eBay. Free shipping, and if comes with everything the person on craigslist is offering except for the argon tank (which you can get I believe for about $80 from a local place.) The one on eBay is about 80 bucks more than that of the one of craigslist. Just my 2 cents, I'd buy a new one. Here's the link:

I agree with Craig, you can buy a new one for just about that price. I bought my MM175 a year ago from a Robert's Oxygen store that agreed to match the Ebay prices I had seen. Got the thing new for $700. Add in cost of helmet, gloves, welding gas, etc and you're looking at about $900-$1000.
