      global west.......

Do they usually suck at shipping stuff out in a timely manner? I ordered the solid body bushings and their subframe connectors probably a month ago. I've called twice. the first time was 3 weeks ago, they said that it would be shipped out in a day or two. waited till last week and nothing. called 2 weeks ago and they said that one of my items was ready to go, but they were in the process of making the other item but it should ship in a day or two and that they would call me with a tracking # when they ship it. still nothing a week and a half later. I'll call them again on monday, but was just curious if this is their usual way of doing business.

yes I didn't see that prodigycustoms, guess that answers my questions. I can't believe that they can be that terrible on shipping stuff and they are still in business. I wonder if I should just cancel the order and go through summit or something like that?

Being terrible at shipping doesnt mean they should not be in business. Just because Global has their issues doesnt mean that they dont make the best products worth waiting for..... because they do.

Ya see, it like having a hot wife or girlfriend. Its true, she may be hot, but you and only you have to put up with her sh*t.

If you want the best parts... you sometimes have to put up with issues out of your control.

Global West has awesome parts. Shipping and timely delivery is not one of their stong suits. They eventually get everything done.

Like Chicane said. If you want great parts, you're gonna have to wait.

I organized a huge group buy with GW a few years ago. Most of the orders took over two months to ship. Just be patient. It will be worth the wait.

I had a 4-6 week wait also. Global West are just the middle guys. It is my belief that everything is ordered from the factory on an as needed basis. LOL

Based on what I hear in these post, it is not waiting that bothers, it is lies about product shipping.

But I do agree, very nice stuff. Maybe they should just tell everyone up front 8 weeks, then surprise them with faster service.

Nah, that'd be the intelligent thing to do. Much better to just overpromise and underdeliver.

I respectfully must disagree. That is what is wrong here. Great parts does not a great company make. Great customer service is just as important as great parts.
Why should I pay retail for something, be told it would be shipped on time then wait on it an extra three or four weeks????
Why should I order one part, receive a cheaper part and consider that good business?????
Why should I have have to pay to have wheels rebuilt because spindle supplier sent me the wrong specs on his spindles????

Everything I mentioned is totally unacceptable and is the reason I will not spend my money with G/W again.
Great parts, yes, only people that offer great parts, NO.
I am so thankful I had other options when I needed some new UCA for the new AFX spindles on the malibu. SC&C delivered on time, and sent the right parts. Imagine that, they did what they said they would do.

I am not arguing the quality of their parts, but c/s is less than stellar and eventually will be costly to their bottom line.

If you are stuck on buying GW parts, you may be better off caling Rons Raceshop or Year One to see if they have what you need in stock. I have heard that turn around time is better when not going directly through GW.

I ordered GW UCA's and LCA bushings from http://www.performancesuspension.com/, no problems. Even though they did not list the LCA bushing in their catalog, I got the part # from GW and Performance Suspension was able to get them.

GW is a bunch of nice and knowledgable guys... and their ability to get parts shipped quickly is well awful.
They are one of those companies that I wish didn't make such great stuff... so I didn't need to have it.

IMHO they make the absolute nicest and most effective stuff on the market.

I finally received MOST of my parts from an order 6wks ago. I too kept hearing Friday and finally had to tell them to cancel the 6500.00 order. WOW they came up with some parts. Still backordered some. When I called today they said we have some of the parts but not all, so I told them I would pick up what they had and now they can't find them. Terrible customer service. Nice parts I do have to agree.

I just called today again, they said that my order was in the shipping process today. I asked if I could get a tracking when they ship it and they said call tomorrow. We'll see what happens. could it be another lie? boy I hope not.

I called today...I think I MIGHT have gotten some honesty out of them! They said that my subframe connectors were out of stock and they expected to have another batch ready sometime next week. Funny that they were ready to go two weeks ago, last time I called.

I was trying to be very polite, but finally slipped when he told me that and said "thank you very much, I appreciate the honest answer".
