      Electric Fan

Has anyone purchased an aftermarket electric fan and installed it in the opening of their cars original shroud?

I have a 1968 Camaro, the shroud has an approx. 20.5" opeing. I am thinking about buying a fan from Summit and affixing, someway, to this opening. This way the fan would pull through the entire radiator. I should be able to fit a 16" or 18" fan in the opening.

Just wondering if this has been tried / done before.

      Jeff,

What size is your radiator core and what kind of clearance do you have from the core to the water pump pulley?
