      bbc serpentine system

after 3 years of waiting i finaly got started on puting my motor and trans into my car (1979 z28) only to run into a proble(what else is new). i have a BBC with a serpentine setup off of a 94 454 and when i try to set the motor onto the mounts, the power steering pully sets on the geer box. just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem and if so, how did you fix this problem. Unfortunately because it is a serpentine system the pump is not adjustable.

I was having trouble getting a setup for my SB 350 and with the Mezziere 300 series waterpump it makes it harder to find a setup that will work with the rack and pinion steering in the path forward on my car.
I looked around and found these guys,
http://www.jonesracingproducts.com and I have just about got it all together and if I don't have any problems with alignment after the final install it will be a thankfull day on my list. The mockup seems to work so only spinning and driving will tell.

Anyway they have many different brackets that might work for you. They are not cheap but they have really nice stuff and it is easily adapted to most any configuration.

Goodluck and hope it is easier for you than it was for me to find what works when there isn't anything engineered to fit with other components that are out of the norm.

Have to say I love my frontrunner... I don't have power steering and am running a rack though so there are probably fewer clearance problems than most.
