      What the ???

This is the source of my latest frustration... if you look close you will see the hair line crack.. Just above the drip. What in the world causes this... All I know is that I was cruising down the road when all of a sudden tons of smoke started pouring out from under the car. When I parked it I saw tons of oil pouring out of the pan and 2 days latter when it finally stopped dripping this is what I found....

      Could be a couple things.

      a) Bend radius is too tight.
      b) The mfr got a lame batch of metal.

youre either stuck pulling the engine and swapping the pan or drain the oil and weld it up. sucks though since you spent the $ on a nice pan, milodon will probably want it back to get a refund or replacement.

Do NOT weld on an oil pan if it has ANY oil in it. It WILL catch on fire.

      Did it hit/rub the pan?

Who built the motor? Or more accurately, who installed the pump and pan?
