      In my experience the coating comes right off the face of the rotor as soon as you use them. It does help prevent corrosion at the hub area so that's nice.



      Personally I have seen/heard many warnings to steer clear of cross-drilled rotors. They may look cool, but they are much more prone to cracking. If you want more venting just do slotted only (yes much harder to find). Really even a good plain rotor with decent airflow will work very well in most cases. Brakes are always a function over form piece.
