Tko 600 Capabilities
I Installed A Tko 600 This Summer And Took The Car To The Track And It Work Flawlessly. The Motor Then Was A 406 Small Block Dynoed At 495 Hp And 498 Tq. I Am Changing The Combo Which Will Be Procucing 670hp And 585 Tq. The Car Is A 71 Z And I Use A Set Of Slicks At The Track. I Am Concerned About The Trans. Since It Seams To Be My Weakest Link. The New Clutch Set Up Is A Sintered Iron Adjustable. Has Anyone Put Any Power To This Unit Before By Launching The Car. I See Alot Of People Posting That Exceed These Numbers But None Are Launching A Heavy Car On Slicks.

We have a customer that has a first gen Camaro with slicks that has a 740 big block with twin turbos - he is claiming over 1000 HP. He has a TKO600 and says that he has had zero problems with it.
With that said, there is a limit and this guy is probably pushing the limit but so far so good for him at least..Jeff Mortenson
