      Ready to order wheels but..

Plans changed please go to post #5

First this is for my 72 TA. Im ready to order some 17x9.5 TT2s for the front and 17x11s for the rear with a 315/40/17 tire. My problem is I want to upgrade my rear drums to disc and fronts to a bigger disc. I want to do the C5 swap. Then I read the the TT2s wont clear the calipers. Does any one know if this is true? Next question is if they do clear will I have to change the bolt pattern or backspacing when I order them?

I've seen a C5 brake setup on a 3rd gen with TT2's. Seriously tight fit though. I don't remember if there's any spacers involved.

OK every one plans changed again. Now I am going to order CCW 19x13 wheels for my rear. Since Im no good at welding I need someone to fabricate some room back there to house these monsters. Is anyone near San Jose CA that can do this. If so PM me or email me with a price or any info you might need.

That seems like a really wide wheel. What changed your mind to that?

Get over to my house quick!!!

Is this you Louie? If so, you gotta come check out my ride. Slow progress for sure (Vince 01mrquick has probably built 10 rides since I started my minitub). You will see how I did it as well as some ideas for other options. I still have the 19x10 mounted up front too, so you can see the clearance. If you bring your Bird I am willing to test fit a 19x10 to help. Let me know,

Hey Jeff its me. how far is Benicia from San Jose? Id love to make a trip out there with my bird but with no overdrive its rough. I made a 4hr trip and I was worried just cause I dont know what the last owner did to the engine. On the good side it made it no problems at all. Was moving your suspension a lot of work.

      Louie,
Let me know a few days in advance, I have to plan it with my wife (I usually give her 1 weekend day, the other I use, unfortunately I spend it on the house or other family obligations most of the time). Sunday still works best for me, will be watching Wimbledon.
