I do admit i do think the cars look like a million bucks when they roll out. I just am saying for the money charged i want a prestine car in every way. Between the rear 1/4s where you will never see. Yes im sure it is a hell of a lot more money for a ride like that but ...like damn true states, call a spade a spade. Also ,Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention. I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story. I need all of you, to stop what you're doing and listen. Cannonball.

      Wow
I think I am learnin a lot here
I too am guilty of Bashing some time or another and I wish I could take it all back

I think the Gangreen Machine all in all was pertty cool

Would I have done annything different? Probebly
Would it be anny better? probebly not.

I have come to realize that these reality shows are kinda not so nice to the car builders by pushing them into these Friggin rediculas timelines

I to wish they would let you folks have more time and strech out the show and build some cars Im damed shure your all capable of

When I first seen the show I too was dissapointed by some things I had seen, but continued observation has led me to understand You CAN NOT build 150% car in 50% of the time.

I wish you all luck over there as to geting these BONEHEADS to let you do some cars with a more realistic timeframe

Maybe when We all get our own showes and pull off the Impossible then we too will fully understand

Shoot it has taken me 1 week to fab and tigweld an eng cage from the downtubes of the inside cab cage of BigYellow (umm its a 900 hp linked 4X4 dualy)

My hat is off to al ya H/Q builders =)

There is/was a thread over on www.supermusclecar.com reguarding the time the car posted. As it turns out the car was never able to complete a full 1/8th mile pass so the producers asked the driver what he thought the car might run. So dont take it out on the shop, blame it on the producers.

I caution anyone who posts over there....you might get banned

I think that 6.10 in the 1/8 mile aint to bad. If the car is still pulling (in a squarter mile run) that should put it somewhere in the 11's???

No, that would be more like a high 9.

The car made close to 1000hp at the crank. It was a fuel injected, 489,brodix aluminum heads, with an 8-71 blower at 10lbs of boost. It would be a solid mid 9sec car if it would hook.

First off I should mention that I haven't seen this show, or any other of the "slap it together in a week" shows. I'm just too damn cheap to pay for the extra channels. From what I can gather, you have a reputable shop capable of building some high quality rides. To risk such a hard earned reputation for some television exposure seems foolish. Tell the producers how much time you need. If they don't like it, then they can stuff their show up their .... well, you know.
I think a show that follows two or three buildups over five or six weeks would be better. The timing could be staggered to have a car completed every other week or so. It would enable you to show more of the tricks and details that matter to the real gearheads and show the average schmuck why these cars command such a high price.

Its easy to make HP, its a whole other ball game getting a car down the track. In the end, HP numbers don't mean s**t. People don't race dynos...people race cars.

WOW, I think we should have the dyno nationals. If you were at the track you would know that the car only made a half track pass because of insurance and the people that ran the track never used the timers. It was just a # they said on TV. Did you also hear that the driver of the car also had a 400hp dragster. It's a 7 sec. super comp rail and it makes almost 800 hp. I take it you never saw the part of my post where it said IF IT WOULD HOOK. If, not it did. Did you even watch the show? It might be easy to make HP, but make alot of it and tell me how easy it is.

      Why me.

I have no chip on my shoulders. What was wrong with my post? I made some statements, asked some questions and all you could come back with is that I have a chip on my shoulder and I made post like this before. Lets play nice Andrew

I am playing nice. You proved my point exactly by saying " it woulf run 9s, IF IT WOULD HOOK". Meaning that it doesn't hook, so its not as quick as it could be. Its the same as me saying my car would run 7s if it had 2000HP.

HP + Traction = low ET

If either HP or Traction is limited, than your ET will suffer.

I don't think I ever said it hooked, did I? And yes, your car would run in the 7's if it had 2000 hp and it would hook.

      EXACTLY!

The point being is that since IT DID NOT hook, so who cares how much HP it made.
