What kits are you looking at? I am using Wilwood on my Camaro. The C/S from them has been good. At least for what I needed them for and that has not been much. I have not heard any bad things about Baer. What is the "look" you refer to on the Baer stuff?

SSBC is a different story. I think a few members of this board are running SSBC and I hope they chime in. I hope there is someting good to say about them. I have not heard any. One thing that does come to mind is a fitment issue that they know about that they have not fixed. I cannot remember exactly what is was and I hope someone else can explain further. I have zero direct contact with their products so I can only relate to what I have heard.

You are doing the right thing in researching and asking questions. That is what these boards help greatly in. If the market can be used as an example, just look at what the PTers and racers are using. I am not saying follow the crowd. Just that the market is a an indicater of what works.

ya it looks like willwood rite now. the look im talkin about is the bae with the drilled/ slotted slotted rotors. but baer's cost alot more for comprible performance (4 pistons calipers) of the other two.

I've been doing a lot of research on brakes for my 66 Fairlane (same spindles as the Mustang).

I've pretty much decided to go with the Baer Track (13") front & Touring (12") rear. The price point / looks /
performance are right for the car (no racing, just cruising).

Wilwood has limited selection for old Fords; max rotor size is 11.75". no 12" or 13" rotors, and no 6 piston
calipers. Not that you really need the 6 piston calipers, but these cars are rarely about what you *need*,
right? ;-) GT350Clone and others have reported that the 11.75" Wilwoods will move your wheels out ~ .5"
      as well.

Global West sells their own rotors w/ Wilwood calipers. They also use the beefier 1970+ Mustang spindles:

JMC also makes their own kits:

and if you have the $, you can get 6 piston calipers from them.

SSBC is my close 2nd choice after Baer. Baer c/s has not been too good so far. They're hard to get
a hold of and are not good at calling back (we're double checking the Fairlane fitment). The ~ $2300
I want to spend with them might not be big $ to them, but its big to me.
