Submerged/Ink-film/Transfer Process?
Someone here posted a thread several months back about a process where a part is submerged in a liquid (water?) and a type of ink film is applied to the surface of the liquid in a particular pattern, then the part is raised up through the film and thereby applying said pattern onto the part. Then the part can be clearcoated for a permanent finish. Does anyone remember this or familiar with this process? I think the person that posted had a gauge panel done in a carbon fiber pattern for an inexpensive amount, and stated that larger parts (like a hood) could be submerged also.

it is a process commonly referred to as photogenesis, water transfer printing, hydrographics, or immersion graphics. Check out www.elegantwooddesign.com, I've seen several examples of their work in 350z's and they look pretty good.

That's IT! Thank you! I tried to google it, but wasn't exactly sure what the process was called.
