      New transformers + New Camaro!!

      http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/05/...formers-movie/

The Chevrolet Camaro Concept will star in the forthcoming “Transformers” movie, which is due for release on July 4th, 2007 (07-04-07). The film — which was first announced last year — is a collaboration between Paramount, DreamWorks, and Hasbro. Apparently, “Bumblebee” is going to start out as a 1970s Camaro, and then be rebuilt as a 2008/2009 Camaro. Meanwhile, “Starscream” is going to be an F-22 Raptor, and “Optimus Prime” is going to be a fire truck. Judging by the license plate on the new Camaro, tuner Saleen also has involvement with the project. A Saleen Mustang police car will also appear in the film. Full image gallery after the jump…

First off, wasn't Bumblebee a Beetle? And aside from that, being "rebuilt" as a new Camaro...does that mean they're blowing up a 1970's Camaro for the shoot? Not cool...

Don't worry, they rebuild it on "Wrecks to Riches."

Kidding aside, yeah I hate when they do that!

If it helps, it doesn't look in great shape to begin with. Still not cool though.

Sounds like the older camaro will be "retrofit" at the autobot base into the new camaro.

The thing is Bumblebee is supposed to be the "runt" of the autobots. he should be a bug, or a scion or something along those lines. This roll is better for Traxx (a vette) or Sideswipe but mostly Sunstreaker, the YELLOW lambo. That would have been the most logical choice.

Not sure if I approve of "car" decepticons also. Alot of people hate that Michael Bay is directing this movie. Watch the action in "The Island" and tell me that it will suck.

yeah...Optimus Prime will always be a cab over, with the trailer being the mobile command center. I'm not sure though, but it seems like this might not be our Transformers that some of us here *cough...'80s...cough* were born and raised on. I think this is based on the newer Anime version called Transformers Armada. no Dino-bots, no Construct-icons, missing alot of good characters. Two things...if Ultra Magnus is in this, he had better be a friggin car carrier, and SoundWave better have the bad 80's computer voice. yeah right...thats just about as likely as the guy who did Cobra Commander's/Star Scream's voice doing it again in this movie Yeah I'm a nerd for this stuff too, meh can't be helped.

Dang that is cool Tony. Im getting childhood flashbacks all over again. I just wonder what ever happened to all my transformers toys. I even had the guy that was a radio and you could put little tapes inside his chest. The little tapes were even transformers. Every time I got all A' s on my report card I got a new transformer. I had all A's for a longgg time then I started getting money instead.

was he blue or red? Soundwave was blue (and cooler) and blaster was red. I've been collecting them for years. I sold my intital collection and have regretted it ever since. This is the coolest "toy" i have
