Getting Rid of Undercoat

I've been getting it off of my wheelwells recently. The best way I've found so far is to use a heat gun and a scraper to get the majority of it off, and then come back through with a wire wheel to blow off all of the little specks that are left. If there's some kind of chemical that can be used to dissolve it without eating the panels, I'd like to know about it, because getting that stuff off is a major PITA.
