      well im sold the car is still under construction but one of these years ill be there, i just need to get my set up alittle more ironed out

      Cheers! We'll see you one of these years then! The guys that run this year will have a wee bit of an advantage for the next one. We have it in the works to expand to a different day as the historics and run 100 cars. At that point, you will be racing for .5 mil in prize money. We hope to make this the great race it was in the 50's- privateers going heads up with factories at a cost that is affordable to the privateers.

      Smokey Yunick spoke about this race in his tell all book. I don't remember what year he raced in it, sometime in the 50's I believe.

      As he stated, they were VERY serious about keeping people off the roads, and the Mexican police were told to shoot anyone that wondered onto the road. And some did!
