What did he Buy? A vin number. Probably will not even bother moving car. As Andrew said, in a couple months those tags and vin will be back on ebay, only this time on a "original 30,000 mile three owner perfect" car. Full documetation and everything, just watch.
Alittle shady, NOT, a whole bunch crooked if you ask me.
There should be a law against letting someone advertise like this, he knows damn well what the new owner is going to do......

Several years ago I took my car down to a place in Belleville Michigan called Carponents to have my '68 acid dipped and e-coated (they're not there anymore, don't look for 'em). The proprietor of this establishment was a man named Jim O'Connell. One look around his shop would tell you that this man was bonafide Mopar man. He had all kinds of crazy parts for a variety of Chryslers. On the day I arrived to pick up my car I was chatting with him just outside the shop door when a friend of his arrived to pick up a part he had purchased at the Mopar Nationals Swap Meet. Jim went back to grab it on the high/low and when he came out from behind the shop I was amazed at what he had on the forks of this thing. It was a complete firewall for a '70 Cuda (A-pillars to floor). I had never seen someone buy a part like this, it was obvious that it was cut from a donor car. It was my first realization as to how rare these cars were. I asked him how much he paid for such a thing and he told me $3000.

I know...not much of a story, but every bit is true.

Same thing but worse for the convertibles, I've seen as high as $14000 for a damn firewall! Seems like there'd be a little market in there to make new ones for those guys.

It doesn't seem any more extreme than dragging a '69 Camaro out of the wreckers and replacing just about every panel on it. With the hemi 'Cudas going for insane money you can bet the AARs will be getting a lot of attention next. Although, for that kind of money I would want the Trans Am tag too .

man, seeing things like that makes me hate myself for passing on a 70 cuda AAR shell and original block for $1g 9 years ago. If I would have known mopar prices would have skyrocketed like that I would have snatched it up in a heartbeat.
