      Seats with Retractable Belts

I'm planning the interior of my 68 convertible and would like to use a modern seat with built-in retractable seat belts. I see them in a lot of new convertible cars and was wondering if anybody had tried to install these in a first gen Camaro (with a factory console, if possible).

Haven't done them in a Camaro but we are doing a set of 4 in a 49 Merc roadster that will be heavily modified and custom.

My '04 Silverado has the integrated seat belts and I love 'em. I would like something similar for both my Nova and Vega. I don't think the Nova will be hard to do, but the Vega has less room and most of these types of seats that I've seen are a little on the big side.
If you install a set of these seats, remember to reinforce the floor where the seat is bolted down. In the event of an accident all of the seat belt load goes to the seat mounts rather than the floor and pillar.

My other car is a Vega.

Some Caddies do - not sure what model - I see them on ebay every once in the while.

I don't think MCC has a setup for ragtops.

The Silerado seats in a Camaro are HUUUUUGGGGEEEEE. They are even big in Bill's GTO.

I admit, they are big. Maybe even too big for my Nova. I haven't taken the time to measure them up (guess I could be doing that right now), but the best thing to do would be pull the seats out of the truck and plop them into the Nova. That would give me a better idea of how they fit and look than a measuring tape would. I do find the Silverado seats to be comfortable. I've spent as much as eight hours in them without complaint.
Something out of a BMW might be a better size for the Nova and especially the Vega, but they are full power and I'm not sure I want that headache. I may not have a choice.

Didn't Bills goat use Oldsmobile Seats from an Aurora or something? I would think those would bolt in much easier. I would never even consider Seats like my Silverado in anything other than my '62 Ford. Actually, I have been looking for a good bench for the 'ol truck.

      Cadillac CTS

I am planning to use Cadillac CTS seats in my Malibu because of the built in seatbelts. I test drove a CTS just to see if I liked them and they are very nice, they have power everything and heat.

I have never dealt with this ebay seller but they always seems to have a few sets.

Another car with the built-in seatbelts is the Chrysler Sebring convertibles. I had a 2000 model as a daily driver a few years ago, and they worked great when the car was rear-ended. My wife and I didn't get hurt, but the car was totalled.
